Madhuri Bhaduri

Madhuri Bhaduri’s journey began in the realm of sports, where she excelled as a national-level badminton and squash player. However, in 1977, a newfound passion for painting ignited within her, leading her to pursue a different path.

Bhaduri’s artistic journey transitioned her from the sports arena to the vibrant world of art. While studying French at the Alliance Française in Pune, she simultaneously pursued a Master’s degree in Art from the University of Mumbai, which she completed in 1988. However, her artistic talent had already started to emerge, as evidenced by her exhibition at the Bal Gandharva Art Gallery two years earlier.

What distinguishes Bhaduri is her remarkable versatility. Her canvas comes alive with a rich array of styles, spanning from abstract art to captivating landscapes and figurative masterpieces. While she primarily enchants with oils, her creative spirit led her to delve into abstract sculpture in 2002. Her art has also garnered international acclaim, with a solo exhibition in the vibrant city of Dubai and representation by the prestigious Agora Gallery in New York. In 2016, her artistic excellence was duly recognized when she received the All Ladies League award for “Iconic Leadership in Art, Design & Entrepreneurship” and the esteemed Sarojini Naidu National Award for Women, highlighting her profound impact on the world of art.
