Kamar Alam

Originating from Mussoorie in 1979, he pursued his B.F.A from Delhi College of Art in 2003, and further honed his craft with a postgraduate degree from Lalit Kala Sansthan, Agra, in 2005.

In his vision, he finds himself within the infinite expanse of the universe, a creation by a higher power. He believes in the profound interconnectedness of all beings and emphasises the importance of nurturing the purest thoughts. These thoughts, he asserts, are the catalysts for positive words and actions, radiating love, brotherhood, and peace, ultimately sowing the seeds of good Karma. This virtuous Karma becomes our vehicle to enlightenment, connecting us to everything in our surroundings and representing spirituality, wisdom, knowledge, strength, and positivity.

Kamar Alam’s artistic expression unfolds through pointillism, his stylized figurative paintings seamlessly blend elements of nature with human forms. His artworks, predominantly monochromatic, reveal glimpses of contrasting hues, with majestic trees playing a central role in his compositions.
