Bahaar Dhawan Rohatgi
B. 1977

She navigated the complexities of law as a lawyer while also delving into the world of art, leading this dual life until she ultimately decided to devote herself entirely to her artistic passion. As a self-taught artist, Bahaar’s canvases bear witness to the fusion of disparate worlds: the structured discipline of law intertwined with the boundless creativity of an artist free from constraints and limitations. Continuously exploring new avenues, Bahaar draws inspiration from the vivid landscapes of her dreams, as well as from real-life case studies and personal experiences, infusing her work with a rich tapestry of imagery and emotion.
She achieves a distinct structural dimensionality in her pieces. Her artistic exploration encompasses a fusion of mediums, including paper, rubber, resin, cement, and sand and her compositions reflect a convergence of cosmic imagery, terrestrial landscapes, and personal narratives gathered from her travels.
Her involvement in prominent brand partnerships has made her art widely adored by audiences, both in India and abroad. Bahaar’s acclaim extends beyond borders, evidenced by her recognition as the Art Influencer of the Year at the Women of Steel Awards, presented by the Hon’ble Union Minister, Smriti Irani, and broadcasted by NewsX in 2018. Additionally, she earned the esteemed SAARC Award in 2017 for her exceptional talent as an emerging artist, among other accolades.
